Free to use
Use GFYS for anything you like, for as long as you like, for free. No license to buy, no tier to unlock, no account to open. It is a gift.
Free to fork
Copy it, study it, change it, pass it on. The source is yours to read and to build upon. Carry this covenant with it wherever it goes.
Forbidden to add telemetry
You may not add analytics, trackers, fingerprinting, or any quiet call home to GFYS or to anything built from it. The silence is not optional. A copy that watches its maker is not GFYS.
Never monetized
GFYS is not for sale, ever — not by us, not by anyone who forks it. No paywalls, no upsells, no selling of a maker's work or data. The gift stays a gift.
Consent travels with it
Every outward action stays a plain, per-creation choice. What a maker creates is theirs; sharing is always freely and consensually given. This holds in every copy and every fork.
